Understanding Odds Formats
American Odds
The most common format in the US. Negative odds (e.g. -110) show how much you need to bet to win $100. Positive odds (e.g. +150) show how much you win on a $100 bet. Standard juice is -110 on both sides.
Decimal Odds
Popular in Europe, Canada, and Australia. The number represents the total payout per $1 wagered, including your stake. Decimal 2.50 means a $100 bet returns $250 total ($150 profit + $100 stake).
Fractional Odds
Traditional format used in the UK. Shown as a fraction like 3/2. The first number is your potential profit relative to the second number (your stake). So 3/2 means you win $3 for every $2 wagered.
Implied Probability
The percentage chance of an outcome as suggested by the odds. Lower odds mean higher implied probability. When you find a spot where your estimated probability is higher than the implied probability, that's a value bet.
